    Can cherry shrimp survive out of water?

    Asking cause i saw one of mine trying to crawl inside my Hang on filter through the outlet.

    bro, try asking yourself, can you survive long under water?

    it will be better if you lower your water level so that they will stop climbing up.

    I think they should be able to do that as long as their gills wet but wont be for long.

    even if they are wet, they will be very stressed up out of water.. and so might just died like that.
    shrimps are very fragile live stocks..

    they don't breathe air (no lungs) but will absorb dissolved oxygen in the water with their gills. so if there are no water for their gills, they will sufficate.... like what will happen to us in water!

    Was kinda surprise in the morning to see the little bugger half way up into my filter! Shrimps are indeed curious fellows.

    Once in my tank, when i was doing water change, my shrimps will hang on to the glass, or the glass, and did not want to let go, even if I'm draining the water.
