Very nice tiger ottos, but i dun think i will purchase them...too risky for such a fragile fish.

Got some hara-hara's instead, tiny catfish, that has similar colors (tho' not as colorful) as the oto tigers.

I'm looking for this too! Are these as fragile as the tiger otos?

Yup.. This is commonly known as the orange otto.. They are larger than tiger otto but heard they are equally as fragile as the tiger otto.. Never try them before but would like to acquire them as well.. These little otto fellows are simply irresistable..

i tried orange otto...its is the short bodied one with a rather big head.i find it more difficult to keep as they dont feed on the algae wafer or other food. many come with sunken bellies.

Slash price is one thing, whether the poor fellow survive or not is another.

Zebra otos are already so sensitive, kena white spot already still will have stress when uncle/auntie packet the fish. On the way home also stress lol.

When I reach home and aclimatise also stress lol. comm with other fish also stress, and the white spots may spread to my other fauna.

    Thats why never buy lol.

Actually wanted to buy some emperor tetras and zebra otos today but didn't get any. Didn't get zebra otos because of the white spots.

Didn't get emperor tetras because I'm afraid of using the nets, I'm afraid the white spots may spread.

Why do you all assume that these are solely algae eaters?

Perhaps varied diet would suit them better, inclusive of some protein based food (e.g. live tubifex, frozen bloodworm) and prepared vegetables (e.g. cucumber, zucchini, even green leafy vegetable).
