I have a 7G tank. lighting 11w. Substrate using GEX light green. Been dosing excel for my plants. However, most of my plants is not growing much, except for my crypto wendtii. Which been growing well. But my foreground seems really very emtpy. Wondering is there is any plant for me to add in my foreground and works well with excel. I have poor luck with mosses, so rather, wanna skip it.

    Any plants to suggest?

If you can increase your lighting slightly. Maybe add another 11W, for a tank that small should be ok - perhaps other bro's can inform better on lights. But glosso perhaps? or HC? or small HG? Great plants for filling up foregrounds.

Hmm... rather low light as agreed with previous bros...

I have a 1-feet cube tank & is supplying 18W of light output to it & plants' growth are quite decent I would say... [java moss, nana, dipilis dinadra & many others unknown plants]

For my another tank (1-feet base with 16 inches height), currently only using a 13W clipon light & can see that it's surely undercharging my plants (mainly crypts, Java moss & dipilis diandra also...). Hence I suggest maybe you may wish to increase light output to your tank also if you desire better plant growth... [Just my 5 cents' opinion... ], but of course there are other factors to consider also (CO2, fert regime etc...)

11w is abit weak even for that of a low tech. I have downgraded my 24w illumax to a 18w osram 6500k. But will move back up depending on plant growth.

I would suggest HG but since i am not doing well with the Japan variant, i probably would advise since mileage different for different setups.

I think there are some small anubias type plants tied up onto a small log currently easily available in LFS very suitable for small tank.

I have put a few and can say they don't really need any care.

petite nanas are however expensive to really grow them to cover the foreground.

Too much Excel may cause problem, unless you're dealing with BBA but then some plant have great impact with Excel causing it to melt. And some fauna is sensitive to Excel if you dose too much. You can get those cheap small Pressurize CO2 tank, regulator without the solenoid type, just set it to 1 bps will do, you can on that for 24hrs, cheaper than Excel in the long run.

For lights you can use 18W PL light.
