alright...after playing ard wif woodscaping..i'm deciding to try out rockscaping..

even though i'm into this hobby for like 3yr +, i must admit that i'm still a noob at scaping.

i've got some ohko rocks from another fellow hobbyist and i did some playing around with the positioning of the rocks.

however, don't seem to get the nice effects i see from other rockscaping threads, please do provide comments on them, i think i will make a trip down N.A to source for more Ohko rocks.

    Tank size: 3ft x 1.5ft x 1.5ft
Substrate: Lapis (no budget to change to other substrate at the moment)
Plants: Foreground = Hairgrass + Jap hairgrass; Midground = japonica + others
    background: have not decided.

and by the way. does it look weird to have 2 big rocks on the left, pointing different direction?

The 2 big rocks i have, i really not sure how to play around with their orientation. but glad peeps down here suggested Idea 2

Either 2 or 3 would be nice for my opinion, but most important is the plants that you select will not over growth that covers the rocks. As you mention HG, Jap. HG, japonica or grosso will be fine. Keep us update.

I actually like idea 3... ...Can just imagine a slow flowing river meandering inbetween the two cliffs...

i would base myself on a general guide of the 2nd rock on the left be roughly around 2/3 size of the biggest rock

then the rock on the right be again roughly 2/3 size of the 2nd rock on left

    odd numbers on each side
imagine each side as a group by itself
total rocks in each group be in odd numbers
