    how do you propagate the banana plant(Nymphoides aquatica)? i read somewhere that u are supposed to cut away the leaders... but what the hell is that? my plant just sprouted a new leaf that reached the surface... its pretty red and what am i supposed to do with it? cut it away? please help...

    My interpretation of what you should do is...

    That new leaf of yours that sprouted and reached the surface? let it grow fully first then cut the stalk at the bottom about 2-3 cm away from the roots... leave the leaf that reached the surface alone and it will grow some roots at the stalk eventually...
