My CRS berries again!

Wow, so many of us have a tank in bed room, here you add one, I have a 1 foot tank, day time have a timer for 2x small Fans, ranging 25 deg, night time air-con kick in, Fan off, ranging 23 deg, I grow plant, cherry shrimp, also have babies...
As many said, depend on your plant/shrimp selections. Or you may on purpose to select those can live well within the range between 20 - 26 deg!, No Co2, No ai pump, just lights also in Timer, filter is the only thing also on, may try some very very small breed and not aggresive fishes, be happpy to have one.
Start up and investment can be
Tank wide format : $30
Canister filter: $30
Light / Fans + Timer: $35
Soil : Ask for mixing from fish shop : $25, you need to pay attention for CRS !!!
Wihtout Plant and shrimp, may below S120, depend on your choices of brand, small investment for small tank.
My CRS berries again!

Lets put a smile on that face
Are you keeping matured oscars, luo han or arrowana? Haha..
Next project: Converting my 3ft freshwater fish planted tank into a shrimp tank.
my 1ft cube tank is in my bedroomi have it on my galant table from Ikea.

I keep practically all my fish in my bedroom. The lowering of temperatures caused by the air conditioning is more beneficial than harmful.. both fish and plants tend to grow better in temperatures below the ambient temperatures in Singapore.

So I will be getting my tank later,
probably 2 feet tank..
Well, For the time being, I will keep recording down the temp without heater and fan.. Cycling the tank at the same time...
Then I will decide to either install fan or heater..
Btw, Why should I mix the substrate? What do you mean by that?
Are you talking about the "being used substrate" in fish shop mix with my new substrate?
Actually temperature is not that crucial so long is not over 30 degree celsius as most of the plants comes from Asia which the weather is pretty warm and they still grow well, thought slightly cooler is better for moss.

i have a 2 feet tank right next to my bed. no aircon. just fan. temperature during the day usually hovers from 23 when it is raining to around 28 when the weather is really hot.
at night, lowest temperature recorded is around 19 if i didnt remember wrongly.

Hi guys,
Water temperature is usually about 2-3C below room temperature.
At very low temperatures 16-22C, metabolism for fishes slows down considerably. Discus cannot survive prolonged periods of 24C or below.
Tropical fish[cardinals tetras, discus, zebra plecos] in general get sick easily in temperatures below 25C. Koi and Goldfishes are temperate climate fishes and do tolerate 30C.
The ideal temperature for shrimps like CRS and and plants mix IMHO is about 21-26C.
As for Fengshui, I think it's bad idea to keep large bodies of water in the bedroom. Spilled water many times and caused a lot of damage.
