    go for the wild ones, you can look at the fish and also study its natural history, habitat, etc.
    why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

    currently only 1 rultilans.... new to this so yea.^^

    have around 20 betta splendens though. just pet quality, though most are quite okay in terms of color. have one red that i got as feeder spawn, he turned out nicely. bought a yellow dragon plakat female, the only *expensive* fish i have besides the rutilans...

    hey bro, if you are keen on wild bettas, i have plenty of fries from certain 'uncommon' mouthbrooders.... i can FOC some to let you try try...

    but i think i'll pass for now, parents alrd making noise at the amount of tanks i have lying around... 11 to be exact...

    what species are they btw? might consider in the future =)

    just around 5 of 15x10 cm thereabouts.. then a few oddly shaped ones for my more special fish... not that bigh except the community tank. =)
