Hey guys, anyone happens to see any lfs still have stock of ADA bright sand available for sale?

I have asked around and it seems the answer is ADA have stopped producing them? I really like the sand, and now I regretted not getting more the last time round.

Thanks guys. Why is it ADA have stopped producing them. This is one of the nicest sand they have around. It's just so nice and unique to me. Will pop by Biotope. Hopefully they have some nice similar 'replica'

If I'm not wrong ADA has been scooping heavily over the years for bright sand and will need to source for new locations. That's why they have introduced Forest sand Orinoco and Xingu.

any idea if the new forest sand is suitable for planting like lapis, or is it merely decorative?

I guessed it depends. I've managed to grow hairgrass in ADA Rio Negro, though it's a dressing sand. The forest sand is more like gravel rather than sand. And size of the forest sand is larger than lapis sand.

Some info on the new forest sand.
