I have 3 aldofi cory in my tank. The last time I drop some in (epsom salt) not much adverse effect. Stick to the recommended dosage. If I am not wrong, espsom only affect scale-less fish, like loaches.

I don't think there are any problems with adding epsom salts for most creatures in general. The problem originates with how much you add at time.
Adding any chemical salt can cause a creature to go into osmotic shock if you change the osmolality and/or ph too fast.
I'd suggest dissolving the epsom salt into a solution first before adding the desire amount in small amounts over a period of time. Safer.
I dump around 30gs of Epsom salt into my tank every Sunday.
I do have few types of corys, so far so good.
Oh and I have a IOS tank so I usually dump my 'chemicals' in there to let it disolve.

sounds safe if I use a small amount. thanks
