    Hi,

this is the pair of wild I.Adoketa I had acquire from Biotope. Was wondering if this is the colour/marking that both female and male will display when they are going to breed?

They are about 3 days old in the tank. The female(at the back) had totally no colour on the first day. Picture taken with handphone camera without flashlight. Sorry for the poor quality of picture.

True...everyone was awed by the picture.

JL, do a search on www.forum.apistogramma.com on adoketa. There are some members there that posted pictures of their breeding pairs.

For those who are intending to keep I.Adoketa, do take note not to mix other fishes with them

Added 3 pencil fishes hoping to be ditcher fish and 5 Oto to clear left over food. However, all 5 Otos' eyes gone and the 3pencil fishes bodies cannot even be found...all this in a single day

    Hi,

When they are ready to breed, the color is much more intense than what it is now. I kept mine all by themselves, no other fish or tankmate with them.

Good luck. Hope they breed soon.

    regards
My greatest interest in fish hobby is to breed them.
