Looks absolutely beautiful, especially on that black substrate.

Strongly not recommended. They will eat your plants. Used to keep the golden apple snail and they destroy my windelov fern and make lot of holes on my nana.

FYI, not all apple snails eat plants, but quite a number of them do. Apple snails are generic terms for a group of different snail species, http://www.applesnail.net

Not sure what the actual species of this snail is though.

Yup.. Saw them today with the blue ones at Tampines Mall basement LFS as well.. Superb.. The LFS also selling blue ramhorns snails.. However think they are selling very expnsive per pieces.. That's why not getting it and also afraid they might start munching on my plants..

BTW.. They do have blue and white ramhorn snail.. Looks exactly the same as the one shown at the back of the white apple snail pictures.. Hopefully they will not be like the apple snail which might eat up plants..

Guys, please kindly stick to the topic on White Apple Snail, not about ramshorn etc etc. Many thanks.

In any case, I think this species have a liking for plants, so I don't think it would be suitable for planted tanks.

How I wish to get it down in Malaysia.

As mention by Quixotic, not all apple snail feed on plants. But those you got from Malaysia LFS, golden color and brown, for sure will feed on plant. I got tanks full of it.
