If it is the same mini pleco that I saw elsewhere, then my wild guess is that they are juvenile Ancistrus spp. The pattern is not immediately recognisable to my knowledge.

Someone bought a couple of them. I am inviting him to post some pictures here and see if they are the same ones you mentioned.

Yup. I bought two the other day from Wu Hu.

It should be a juvenile Bristlenose. I found mine to be the same as the ones in this video http://www.e-aquarium.com.au/bristlenose_catfish.htm

Uhm, I think this is going to get really convoluted due to the trade names.

Just clear the air, there is something that is in the trade recently that is labelled as "mini pleco" (without the tiger). I have seen this and think that it is probably a juvenile Ancistrus spp. (bristlenose, for those who aren't familiar with scientific names).

Now, if there is something that is labelled as "mini tiger pleco", it is most possibly a new and different fish from the "mini pleco" mentioned above. As to what it is, I haven't seen it, so am not sure.

If it is supposedly looking quite similar to L074, then "mini pleco" is definitely not the same fish as "mini tiger pleco". So be forewarned, this thread is heading towards discussing two different fishes, which potentially is going to confuse a lot of people.

Finally got some pictures of my mini pleco for further discussion... ... It was very camera shy for the first few days...

These 3 pictures are for the same fish. However, I noticed that both of my fish do not shows any bristles. It may be because they are both female or that they are just too young. Therefore, I intend to go checkout the rest of the fish at Wu Hu soon and see if there is any fish with bristles.

If I remember correctly, they are no more than 4 cm SL. Perhaps too young to grow odontodes.

Yes... the bristles can take some time to surface...

It doesnt look like a common bristlenose to me, the spotting and colouration are pretty nice...

I used to have 1 of them and they grow till about 6 - 7cm in length.. The tail will slowly become longer then what is seen in the picture.. Shows no sign of the bristlenose too..
