My dad's friend gave us 6 fish from his pond. When they first arrived, they all looked the same. now it's been 2 months and they look very different.
the smallest one was murdered by the biggest one.
left with five.
2 are very dark in colour with stripes.
2 are very fair.
1 is huge and dark.

It looks like a type of Nile Tilapia to me perhaps called Oreochromis niloticus eduardianus.
I heard these fishes were introduced to Singapore by the Japs during WWII to solve chronic food shortage and they realised that local people don't like the smell and taste.
Well they are in need of a new home.
but are there anymore people here who may have a clearer ID.
Hmm, the red caudal and dorsal margins might be indicative of the Mozambique Tilapia, Oreochromis mossambicus. Its hard to tell for sure though, since there are several species of closely related tilapia which all hybridise easily among themselves. I wouldn't be surprised if these fish are all hybridised, instead of being any one distinct species. Also, to confuse matters further, several colour forms of both the nile and mozambique tilapias exist.

I think they are hybridized as well... still pretty looking guys... always swimming to the front of the tank when i enter home.
i actually need to find them a new home...
They eat alot!
Need to Free up the 3ft tank for something else.
