Hi WaterH2O, very nice setup tank you have. Can provide more details on your setup? Is your tank low-tech or high-tech type? Interested to learn more from you and hope you are generious to give your information. Thanks.
Your tank looks deep... what's the footprint? Very well composed. Any closer pix of that school of fish?

For the details of the setup, it can be found with in another thread that I posted for advice on hair algae control under the fert and algae control section.
I am still learning how to take good photos of fishes cause they swim too faster. Only have a point and shoot camera.
Hair algea is here and there I put in 10 yamatos but still have not seen them in action all hiding somewhere behind.
Yes, I suspect the 4 plants are not aquatic plants cause I cannot find any info on their names and requirements in any aquatic hobby website. Brought it from Ben's in TB and they call it "The plant of Goddess of Mercy" (loosely translated).

Those four plants look like a species of Dracaena... not aquatic i think, better to replace them if possible.
Besides that.. beautiful setup! Can't believe its your first attempt..

Cpark188 Thanks. We can learn from each other.

I have a few stalks of this plant being uprooted and floated up. Found the section of the stalk where it is planted into the substrate has soften. Any idea why?

My guess maybe you squeeze to hard when you plant it.

Nice setup!

Not bad, any front shot?

Used to have it but that was some time ago and also exceeded my attachment limit so I remove them. Will post again.

very nice, but the front looks bare....

h2O,
front looks ok, but you should have planted heavily on the left hand side to make use of the central focus rule....
http://www.aquatic-eden.com/2006/11/...uascaping.html

Acutally is my fault cause this is the results of my trimming. I trim alot on the left side but not on the right. For some reasons my right side grow much better than the left not sure why.

nice tank. maybe you could add more plants on the left side to make it more even at the back... creating a nice curtain/backdrop.
