Hi everyone! I heard that Fire extinguisher does qualified as a CO2 tank. Does anyone know which/what type of regulator fits with this kind of tank? As I am in Cambodia, it is difficult for me to order online for such stuff. Would perhaps be OK to order just a regulator system. I am new to AQ.

That's an interesting thought but looking at the Fire Ext in my office, the head is a spray nozzle and you almost have to change the entire head to a valve type before you can attach your regulator. I would guess the canister holds the same screw mount that could fit a valve head versus a spray head.

It may be better to see if you can get an Oxygen cylinder from the local hospital or medical supply shop like those that is used for the ambulances. Just mark it CO2 so that no one mistake it for O2.

Thanks Green. I would try an order for a completed set. Is it possible to ship to Cambodia from Singapore - my budget is every tight and I would look into a used one from any member here. Can anyone recommend how can I obtain this.

you can try if you have a co2 fire extinguisher. other types will not work as the cylinders are not designed to take pressurised co2.
you'll need to replace the original valve with a cga320 valve (a standard for co2).
after the conversion, you'll need to have it hydrostatic tested. pressure inside a co2 cylinder is about 1000psi (depending on ambient temperature).

have you tried looking for gas supply companies? you should be able to find one as they supply co2 for gassy drink fountains.
