Hi crazyhans, well start off for the setup and a good name for it, but the lighting a bit dim and the picture not so clear. May be your camera setting. Anyway keep us inform on your update. Cheers.

I think it's more on the camera settings cause as stated by "route" the lighting's pretty intensive.
In regards to the substrate, I'm using the green Gex substrate. Being that this is the first time I'm using this soil, I must say that it clears really fast.
As for the low temperature, I forgot to mention that I used a fan to achieve such temperatures.

The cardinals and the 2 rams have been living in harmony for close to six months now since my previous scapes. Just the occasional nibble but nothing too serious. No deaths have occurred either.

There are quite a number of stem plants in the setup. It's just that some are hidden behind the DW. And as I've not run into any algae problems, maybe at the moment it should suffice.
The wood is actually made out of two different DWs. Both placed on the peaks of the valley.
    Thanks for the compliment.

I came across a transparent thin plastic sheet in my home and used it as a partition. If you zoom at my picture, you will be able to see the plastic sheet. Maybe you could head down to Popular bookstore and purchase a similar looking plastic sheet. It should be quite cheap. Hopefully with the hairgrass planted at the bottom of the valley, it should be able to hide the plastic partition as time goes by.

How long you have setup this tank? Less than a month i guess? After 1 month you'll tend to see some green thing appear...

Do Ram attack Cardinal? Mine seems ok, they live peacefully.

It's been about 2 weeks since the initial setup. And yes, I do agree that if I don't watch my parameters closely, algae might be a huge possibility. As for now, I'm just crossing my fingers. Going to get more cleaning crew tomorrow to keep me on the safe side.

One question. If I used 50% of the water from my previous setup and reused the filter and media too, does it have any effect on algae bloom since the water was already cycled for 1 month prior to rescape.

50-50 Remember bacteria still need to take time to culture in, especially your substrate is still new.
