Who is this Cheng Siu Wai? Where is Dave Chow? Last year champion?
is it rank 49 Chow Wai Sun?
Hey, Jacian is already very good. I remember I saw him scaping in Gan's aquarium years ago. I am already very impressed by his work.
I think Maurice did mention it somewhere in the forum or maybe to me. I think the idea is to basically find/ buy rock/ driftwood that look nice. Then try to make your scape suits them. I do have to agree with Maurice. Most of the time, it is not easy to get the material you want therefore it is better to make a scape from the material you have. (Maurice, dont whack me if I say wrongly).
Initially, I thought of using Seiyru rocks for my scape. I wanted grey/ black rocks of different sizes to do Iwagumi. After that, hunt and hunt but cant find. In the end, "Hatam" and use Okho rocks. It looks pretty alright also.
Now, I am a bit crazy when I see rocks. Haha! Maurice saw me digging the rockpile in Biotope aquarium to look for rocks to do my next scape. In the end, I got 2 driftwood instead.
Those entries by Singapore are good. For example, I find TCY's tank nice. Another one is the #512 entry. What I can say is the judges sure have a hard time this year.
William, there are some speculations but Cheng Sui Wai is not Dave Chow's wife. His wife is Susana Cheung see: Fairy Valley. But i hope that this is the champion scape
Off topic but look at the post count: "88"!

Congratulations to everyone.
They actually have 5 entries in the top 50. In 2007, there were none in the top 50. It would be interesting to see their scapes, and also of those of Cliff Hui, A.J. Judy, Lee Do Jae (for the consistent ranking in 2007/200and Peter Kirwan.
Don't think so. From their website, it seems like the highest rank of their aquascapers is Cliff Hui, http://www.cau-aqua.net/index.php?lang=en
(Edit: Eric Cheng seems to be #54)
