Anyone exeprience death/injury to any fish that jumps out of the tank but is scooped back into the tank?

The reason i asked is that I remember that when I brought my 4 torpedoes, one of them jump out of the tank and after a few week, 1 of them past away ( not sure if it is the same one).

Recently, another one jump out of my 3 feet tank and I am afraid that it may suffer the same fate as the previous one.

1 week has passed since 1 of my galaxy rasboras jumped out and was immediately scooped back into tank; but so far still surviving. It looked stunned and slow moving when I popped it back into tank; but now looks ok. Lucky I was just beside the tank when it happened, still keeping fingers crossed.

my male agassizii previously jumped out of the tank
i scooped him up and back but he didnt look too good
    died a few hours later
the height is quite high so i believe he must have suffered heavy "internal" injuries
