How do you like the two Apistos (slide 58 & 59)? Methinks the Cichlasome is gorgeous! Should ask Gan bring in the multi-coloured tetra (slide 64) also.
DEA, check out the arcuatus (slide 101).
At Pet safari, i saw in one of the planted tanks (the one with a lotta Chinak statues) this 3 cm fish which looks remarkably like a marine cleaner blenny, with long dark body and neon blue striping. But it behaves like an algae-eater. Definitely not a cyprinid or hillstream loach. Some kind of goby?
LOL.. Gan brings in any kinda apisto.. he never gets the ones he ordered []

I saw the goby at pet safari too. Very interesting! One of the guys there told me it is a golden goby. However the price is steep! Any idea where i can find another lfs that stock it? Btw, if you have more info on the goby, hope you can let me in on it! Thanks a million!!!
it should be a true goby, considering it's fused pelvic fins and habit of perching on things with them
I agree with Simon. The apistos we ordered always comes as a surprise- all look entirely different from the catalogue when they arrived. As such, our supplier had used their own code - Wild Apisto Yellow, Wild Apisto Red... etc beside the scientific names. As such, we aren't even confident to bring in the same fish if the first batch is sold out. Budak - a very good site indeed. Perhaps you should post a separate topic to let others enjoy the online lecture
