Hi Eugene, so i presume almost all whiptails are around that size? That includes Loricaria sp? Are there such things as dwarf whiptails?

Sorry, i am not too sure about that. Whiptails sizes range from 10cm and above i think. Have not heard of the dwarf species.

Cheers!

I finally uploaded an avatar and Cupid is dead!!!![]()
Yes, there is R. magdalenae, listed in Fishbase, not sure why it isn't listed in PlanetCatfish. As to whether it may be an outdated or invalid name, don't know yet as you know how "fast" Fishbase information gets updated.
There are about 48 valid species in the Rineloricaria genus listed in Fishbase right now, some of them are not listed on PlanetCatfish for some reason or another (possibly awaiting reviews etc?).
Scotcat and PlanetCatfish made no mention of this, and R. fallax and R. sp. L010a are listed as separate species. I think the person in charge in RH may have misread or been provided with incorrect information.
I would stick with the catfish authorities on L010a, i.e it is for now a yet to be identified Rineloricaria sp.
genes, can you share any tips on their care and upkeep? I'm thinking of purchasing a few![]()
They don't seem to be fussy eaters. Take both algae tabs to carnivorous tabs. Should be easy to keep like the sturistomas. They are available again? Where?
