    Very nice setup!
    Do your plecs give any problems with your plants?

    Thanks for all the great comments!

    The plecos never give me any problems with the plants, i think the only problem is the low light.
    Atm i think its running a 28wx3 t5, I wasn't planning to plant but then couldn't help myself.

    This is what the tank looks like with the rummies..

    This is a older pic - The angels have been removed because my rummy numbers have dropped dramatically. I only counted about 20 last night.

    A neat and clean tank, great placement of drift woods and rocks. I think you may consider bigger drift wood, to act a a focus for the tank.
    Cheers

    Nice!

    Lovely setup with South American fish. Great to see someone interested in eartheaters. Have they bred for you? Pity about removing the angels, I think angels complement geophagus well because they have different behaviour, and occupy different parts of the tank.

    I think you could add slightly more background plants to create a denser, lusher feel.

    Have you concidered wood that would replicate the position your hand would be if you placed all 4 fingers and 1 thumb onto a flat surface. Sorry, only way i can think to describe it. I don't know what shape you'd call it (upside down hand?) Hehe. I think would of this shape placed in the middle, perhaps slightly to one side, would look absolutely stunning. Big enough to reach up somewhere near the water suface with various Anubias tied too growing in all manner of directions would look stunning.

    I agree with dwgi32, the back could benefit from some taller, hardy plants growing at the back. That combined with a focal piece of wood will complement the tank a thousand times

    Just my two cents....

    @dwgi32
    I do think i need bigger driftwood, i just can't seem to find ones i like or that have matching colour.. I do need to invest in something chunky that has some hiding spots for my plecs. I will keep on searching!

    @Enda
    Yeah geos are great and no they haven't bred for me which is kinda upsetting, whats more upsetting is that the number of rummies kept of dropping so i assume it was the geos... i just sold these last night because they demolished my school! I'm not sure what fish i want to keep not for the top and middle layer. Thinking about more rummies and cardinals.. will this be too plain and boring?
    I am trying to get more back ground plants.. but figured i should wait till i have enough money for a new light.

    @verminator
    GREAT IDEA! thanks for that piece of advice, It gives me something too look out for at the shops.

    I may just end up turning this into a planted tank..
