yes in singapore, in an air con room
was thinking of using a fan to lower it further...to 16-17 degree
How far your fan can cool the water depends on the ambient/ surrounding temperature. The lowest my room air con can reach is 18 c.
By the way, any reason for wanting to go such low temperature?

fan can only reduce about 2 to 3 degree C
what do you want to grow in 16 degrees. 24 too hot?
Wah bro, so low temperature... what flora/ fauna you intend to keep?!? Bringing your faunas on a trip tp North Pole?!? [Joking lah...]

woohoo manage to bring it down to 16.5-17 degree
i am intend to breed white crayfish
hopefully everything goes as plan
The trouble you are going through with the air-con and fan, you might well be better in installing a chiller. I not sure if chiller can cool it down to 16 degree.

So the Air-con is on for 24 hours? Not very environmental friendly then again with the chiller power comsumption sama sama (all the same).

the air con is on 24 hr for other reasons
i just tap the cold environment
good for you bro 24hr aircon. By the way, does low temp breeding goes for all cray fish or just this special species?
What Zenscape meant was that with the air-con on 24 hrs, you have one less parameter to worry about for your planted tank and that is temperature, inregardless of the weather outside.
Plants can survive in a range of temp but some plants like moss need slightly cooler temp to thrive so you are lucky in a sense. Right zenscape?
