Got an update from Margarita Tours, sharing it here in case anyone is interested to go collect your own L numbers / fish :clap::drool:

Dear folks,

Just a final quick reminder that we do have space available still on all three of the Amazon fish collecting trips in the Peruvian Amazon region this next month. Trip dates are:

10-16 August - Pacaya-Samiria reserve area and Rio Tigre area (also Amazon River)
17-23 August - Rio Apayacu, Rio Orosa, Rio Ampiyacu and Rio Amazon areas
24-30 August - Rio Tigre area with emphasis on white-sands areas that are known centers of endemism for many plants, birds, insects (and possibly fish!).

Trip costs are US$1445 (repeat client cost is $1245) which includes two nights hotel in Iquitos. International and domestic airfare and fish shipping costs (if you decide to take fish back) are not included in trip rates. It is still possible to get reasonably decent airfares to Peru as the airlines are looking to fill up their flights. If you can join us on one or more trips (second week is always at a substantial discount), let me know ASAP!

I was in Peru last week, and am headed back there this Thursday night. Water levels were intermediate and dropping, that bodes very well for fish collecting in August. The weather was quite pleasant as well, with generally clear and cool nights (70's, low 80's at night), although there was some rain most afternoons, and at noon it could be warm.

Hope you can join us, and if not this time around, maybe next year.

Best,
Devon
