Hi,
I wonder if discus and yamato can be together ? I previously had a yamato. But after I bought a discus, the yamato died on me. Think the yamato is scared of the big fish though i had never seen the discus attacking the shrimp before.
Are they compatible to be in the same tank ?

oh no wonder. shrimp hide because afraid of being eaten. but yamato are so much bigger than the mouth.
my discus have eaten all the yamatos i've tried to introduce into the tank
i've got algae on my hair grass. would really wish to employ yamatoes to clean them up. maybe i should try SAE for now.
i have yamatos (Large ones) and plenty hidding grounds so the discus cant really eat them, recently say my discus pecking on some algae at my inlet tube too![]()

ahyann,
your discus might be ready to spawn as they are cleaning the breeding ground...
emmanuelwoon,
yes you can keep it if you have lots and lots of hiding space for your yamatos to hide.. i keep mine with discus for quite some time already... recently there are a few even dare to venture out to feed on the frozen blood worms with my discus... i also don't know how come that few shrimp so daring...
planted86 i also think so because nearing about 2 weeks since they last lay eggs lebut sad ah they are in a community tank...
Bro. after typing this message last night, i go check wah really lay eggs eh, u last time also breed discus ah?
