Hi littlerat08, hard to visualise the 'white scales' near the head as you mentioned... possible to take some shots (best is take macro ones...) so that experts in here can offer help/ advise to you fast??

Hope they are saved in time...

Happened to me as well. All I could do was to isolate and pray that the others don't get infected. Looks to be some kind of fungus.

Best if you can seperate those infected ones and treat them acordingly. Fungus do spread easily.

Small dose of methylene blue or any anti-fungal medicine can be applied.

Are those who develop the "white scale" the same one who die?

Got a feeling that the dying is not related to the "white scale".

Small dosage has to be applied. Tried it on my shrimps. All are alive and kicking after treatment.

What is the message that you get trying to post your picture? There may be limits to the size of the picture, or perhaps you aren't too sure on the process.

There are some pointers in the Forum Helpdesk and Feedback Corner sub-forum on how to manage and upload the pictures. If you still have problems, you can post your feedback in the above mentioned sub-forum, we will be glad to have a look.
