    Hi,

If I'm going on a holiday, is there an auto food dispenser that I can buy to dispense food for my tank? Which kind should I get? What kind of food can I put in the dispenser?
I have mini puffers, cory, bumblebee, platy and discus.

    Thanks.

The function is all the same bro. I've placed flakes and pellets in mine, both work fine. Just go out and get one, there isn't any specific good brands to really shout about. My unknown one has been with me for over 4yrs. Just remember to remove the battery after each use.

An auto feeder is a must have, never know when you gonna need one.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the info.
Flakes and pellets can be used. But how about puffer? They don't take flakes or pellets, what can be done? Anyone got any experience?

    Thanks.

    Throw in some "feeder" snails.
They should last them a couple of days hunting them down.

Where can I get the 'feeder' snails? Usually at LFS, I don't see they sell.
The snails is able to live in the auto feeder? I asked cos I not sure how the auto feeder mechnism works.

    No one sells feeder snails.
I meant to say that you can use snails you don't want/like from another tank to feed them.
You will have to put the snails directly into the tank.
No autofeeder for live snails too!

Most mechanisms work by rotating a drum with the food inside.
The rotation will cause food to drop into the tank.
Amount of feed is controlled by the size of the opening that you can adjust.

You can buy feeder snails at C328, just that they don't have it everyday.

I bought the feeder snails a number of times to feed my puffer fish till the tank is full of empty snail shells. I stop feeding my puffer the snails now as I am too lazy to pick up the shells from the tank.
