I do observe that mini riccia pearls just like the normal riccia. Some have commented on the much slower growth rate of the mini riccia as compared to the normal riccia. I guess i gotta run an experiment on this to verify.

    Cheers.
You mean it has different green tone? That is interesting! I just got mini riccia, will try on my new tank setup, and see how it goes.

Hi Captain Telecredible, unfortunately there is no updates for the development of this tank as i have decommissioned it a year ago.

Do get hold of some riccia to experiment with your own scape, if you like!

    Cheers!

    Hi Kiat,
i am not using chiller for this setup, maybe i am running a small fan though.. Strong lights and good co2 are very useful for riccia, not forgetting the dose of liquid ferts as well.

Looking forward to your new scapes .

    Cheers!

sir.. when you plant the riccia, do you use wire mesh? and did it actually creep all over until almost all the ground are covered? i'm intending to do mine like that...with mini riccia. thank you sir..

    Hi Bro,
i did use stainless steel wiremesh for the ground layer. However, riccia don't really creep like rooted foreground plants... it will grow and fill up the wiremesh fully over time.

In order to have a full foreground of mini riccia in your case, you will need to cover the foreground with wiremeshes where you want your lawn to be.

    Have fun with mini riccia!

    Cheers!

I wonder how much mini Riccia is needed to fill up a 2ft tank

It would look amazing though. A 2ft tank filled with it.
