I've tried doing the usual Coke bottle DIY method and all.
But the hatchery design from Brine Shrimp Direct is the easiest imho.
No need for air pump and all.
Just one scoop a day and you have a relatively decent daily supply.
You do need to watch the drop in the hatch rate as bacteria multiplies as you run the hatchery without cleaning it.
I find that it lasts me a week before I feel a need to "refresh" and clean the setup.
I've also seen a DIY using the same concept with a Ice Cream container.
However I cannot, even if my life depend on it, find the link.
If you don't mind spening the time and you are handy at DIY projects, you will find this a resource and worthy DIY project.
The basic design splits the container to a few sections, seen from top.
What you do is put the eggs in a section that is not subject to light.
The other end/section will have an opening to light.
This will attract the bbs to the section and keep the eggs in the unlighted section.
Hope I didn't confuse you...![]()
