Hi guys, an extra whiptail that I adopted turned out to be male and my female has laid eggs. Problem is, it is all happening in my 5ft full of hungry tank mates. Should I remove the eggs? What do I do with the eggs when I remove them? Aearation and Methylene Blue?

Rather bad timing as I was preparing to rescape the tank during the National Day Weekend.

You should leave them till the eggs turn black in colour.
They are then ready to hatch.
Use a siphon to remove the eggs.
But you will find that this will cause them to hatch.
You can then place the fry and the unhatched eggs into a breeding trap, from the hungry mouths, in the main tank.
With this method you don't need an extra tank and methylene blue.

    Thanks for the reply.

Oh well, no luck I spotted the eggs on the way to work in the morning and they were gone by the time I got back at night.
