Many Thanks... I have it in my aquarium and had no idea what it was. Its been growing like a weed and i decided to give it a trim today. Will cutting off the crown force the plant to grow sideways? I replanted the crown at a different part of the tank....

Cutting off the crown will kill the plant, the way to trim it, is to totally uproot it, and cut from the bottom.

It should be ok to cut from the crown and that encourages sideshoots to form and thus achieve a bushy look
