    My reason for scaping this tank is because of my mom,she did like a cubic tank so i have no other way to make her happy without this(hope it will do its duty)

    It is a 3mm glass open-top tank sized 40cm(L)x 35cm(W) x 20cm(H)
    I was suprised when i got it,a brilliantly done sillicon line,angled edge all over the tank.And wow,it is just ~14 SGD
    Equipments :
    Filter : Atman hang-on
    Lighting :2x36w PL
    CO2 : Pressurized (Divided from the big tank)
    Substrate : Power sand special S 1l and 4l Aquasoil amazonia Powder.
    Layout material : Driftwood (Not sunk yet) Basail rock
    Here are some pics :
    Can you see the sillicon line ?

    Done some hard scape but lack some aquasoil so,the aquascaping must pause here and wait for tomorrow to get some more AQsoil.

    It is sitting on my 48" haha

    Why not Riccia where the Rotala is in Plan A. Could look good. Plan A is simpler, and i think would be easier to make look good. Plan B doesnt grasp my enthusiasm quite the same way.

    Hi zQ.,

    Basing on your dimension given, the weight of water is 28kg, not considering the glass and soil weight. This may be too heavy of the two bracing... that may be dangerous...
    IMHO...

    @Verminator :
    I did not like Riccia because it often travel around the tank

    You sir, have balls the size of basketballs. I would never in a million years do something like you have done, out of sheer paranoia.

    The hardscape looks good and I really like your first layout and plant choice. Might I suggest cleaning up the soil line in front? It looks a little messy like that and would actually help make the finished tank look nicer if you flattened out the soil line in front.

    P.S. This is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.

    just imagine the two tiny brace can't support the weight and it decided to give way while you and your family are sleeping soundly..........

    anyway, nice layout.......

    @Leokhanh :
    Did not like it too,i'll try with the "fish's bone" you had given to me haha
    @Brian :
    I'll do it once the left aquasoil arrived.
    @Aquasinthesys :
    I bought it in Viet Nam.A custom made from my friend.
    @Ballsmyberries :
    I dont think the braces will break if i dont fill the water up.And even if it is broken then the tank is still wont break haha.

    Sometimes i read threads and look at others post's and laugh at how people either don't read whats been put before, or just generally miss it out.

    He's already said he doesnt have intentions of filling it with water whilst there i believe. Only a temperary spot, correct me if i'm misplaced myself there

    Certainly is bold to keep it there anyway.

    Looking forward to seeing how this tank shapes up.

    Plan A looks nicer on paper here.

    Actually my main concern is with the hardscape. The small piece of rock right at the front seems a little too centralized. If you are tilting the tallest piece of wood abit to the right, you can bring the rock more to the left to balance it up. I know I am abit weird about this, but personally rocks in the center looks a little funny for me.

    Nevertheless, the foundations look sound. Do keep us updated on your choice and the process of setting up.
    Studying the water chemistry and nutrients is a science.
    Knowing what plants to get and how to use them is an art.
    Aquascaping is a marriage of art and science, the logical and emotional.

    I intended to raise the substrate behind that rock higher to be something like a mound,and just throw in another bigger rock to the right of that rock,i'll let you see some pics when my camera's home

    PLAN A as the concept is clearer with less clutter. But if you are to raise the back more... you will have less space for the background stem to develop
