    good question eagleray

some people reported that their VFT go without domancy for a few years, while the plant is planted directly into the ground in the vivarium. Would be extremely difficult to induce domancy from within. Dry domancy is out since you have to put the VFT in the shade and drastically reduce watering. Cold domancy will be out as well, not unless you turn on your aircon 24/7 and reduce watering. I'm curious how domancy is applied in vivarium as well, especially for those who are into VFT and sundews

So far for my Vfts in my vivarium, non can pull thought the domancy periods, even if you remove it from the vivarium, the chance of the VFT to wake up is slim.
But those that not introduce into domancy, it slowly grow slower and smaller, eventually dies off So i had to replace my old plant.
For sundews in the vivarium, it will grow very well, but it is a annally plant, you just have to collect the seeds and replant it again, or you can do some tissue culture to the plant to stand by to replant the old plant. But note that some is high land plant, so night cooling is a must.

I've seen plenty of pitchers in our reserves. Are they similar to the ones we see on sale?

    Cheers!

Some of the native Nepenthes species that you may find on sale in Singapore would be Nepenthes rafflesiana, N. ampullaria and occasionally N. gracilis. However, a lot of the stuff out in the market are actually hybrids.

One of those three that I have mentioned and sometimes hybrids of the three species mentioned. Post a picture and we could perhaps stick a name on to them.

How did you know I grow sundews? Hmmm. I actually I grow more than that and Utricularia is currently my favourite CPs.
