Wow! That's an honour actually... but I'm not sure I have the experience to take care of it yet. I'm still very new to flytraps

Inside a vivarium? I don't think they will be able to find a single flying insect in my office... any suitable food source for force feeding?

I wonder where I can find insects to feed the VFT... how about crushed crickets or worms? I know it sounds cruel... that's probably what I can buy from the LFS. How often do I have to feed them?

for VFT, don't get them too wet, they thrive if the soil is moist not wet. I used to have 2 in my vivarium, the one closer to the water didn't survived compared to the other which is potted on a higher ground, but eventually died because of bad air circulation and heat in the almost close tank.

Technically you need not feed them, like most carnivorus plants they get nutrients from the soil, insect acts like snacks to them . Also don't fertilise them or else they will stop producing the 'claws' :P

erm... CP get most of their nutrients from their prey rather than soil... but don't always feed them... maybe once per 2 week or per month?? they are capable of catching their own prey... dun need to crush them.. just find small insects that can fit into the trap... and yea keep them moist but dun flood their root as their root system will rot.. and VFT have a domancy period...

actually i read that ants might not be a good choice of diet for VFTs.. due to a chemical secreted by them. VFTs aren't easy to care for, especially when you need to prepare for the dormancy period that they need once a year.

You can buy some pinhead crickets to feed your VFT once every two weeks, or i can spare you, if you can always come down to bedok to get from me
