Yes, difficult to breed, let alone keep alive. Congratulations.

What are the readings of your water parameters? Any pictures of the tank setup?

Will try to post pictures soon...

Actually i find sulawesi shrimps pretty hardy, definitely more hardy than CRS...i keep my shrimps in the standard 20-something cm Genoah tank set i bought from CRS Haven slighty more than half a year ago...i kept about 3 shrimps in it...1 disappeared, i assumed that it died, then i discovered that 1 of the shrimps were carrying eggs about a month ago...

in the day the tank is about 29 degrees but at night it can go as low as 24 degrees because of my air-con...the only plants i have in the tank are just a little weeds i was given when i bought the sulawesi shrimps (the kind for them to cling onto)...other than that i have some rocks and some coral chips (heard that its good for the sulawesi shrimps)...

and also...i use coral sand....now i see alot of small little fries swimming and crawling about...yay!

So they have been in your tank for about a month?

Hmm... I think this may well have made the difference in preventing high mortality rates. Well, pictures can wait, but for the benefit of other aquarists, are you able to test and post the water parameters, e.g. pH, kH and others?

congrats! my sulawasi also bred in their tank. however i only see 2 shrimplets. and the 2 females are always berried. am tempted to try other species of sulawesi shrimps to see if they can breed too.

You mean your only 1 female sulawesi shrimps gave out hundreds of eggs? It's quite impossible IMHO...
