I personally find the flowrate for Eden501 is a tad too weak. So just dropped by OTF to have a look on what sorta canister filters they have. Saw this small canister, with a flowrate of 360l/hr and decided to give it a try. My reviews on this canister will be found in Equipments Threads.

I'm $$$ick and tired of breaking my glass wares...I've broke like 3 diffusers, 1 bubble counter and 1 check valve. thankfully they're not ADA else i might gone bonkers~~

So decided to take a gamble and switched to ISTA reactor (M). The tubing fits nicely into the ISTA reactor. Had a hard time trying to clear the pockets of air until i READ the manuals (yes, please read the instructions).. It says we need to turn the ISTA upside down and let the air out. After some spills and wet laminated flooring (my wife screamed at me seeing the wet flooring), i managed to clear the pocket of air. the flow seems just nice cause i thought at 360l/hr it would cause the massive turbulance in the tank. maybe the ISTA did slow it down.

So here's some updates on my tank..
I have some narrow leaved java so decided to try this out.. The bolbitis are just temporary 'fixture'..will move this to my bigger tank soon..
    Any comments?

Your foreground can use "Elatine triandra" aka "Ah Pek Plant" or "APP" as a lawn plant in your foreground, and it dont really need much light just good substrate will do the work. HC, glosso is nice but too much work to keep a nice lawn.

thank you sir for your kind inputs. i've been looking around for APP but seems its hard to find these days...or maybe my untrained eyes failed me

If i were to use APP, looks like I have to remove the Mini Riccia rite?
Is this what they call Iwagumi? I totally have no idea of what i'm doing. Is it ok if the rocks has some algae or do i need to scrub it off?

    many thanks sir and all...

If you really cant find APP, you can consider order from Mizuworld or check with the forumers on sighting for APP, they will tell you where you can find. Mini riccia you can use it on rocks. Dont think is Iwagumi setup as you have rotala inside. Algae on the rocks depending on your preference, some people like it some people don, you can use tooth brush go in to remove if you dont like.

Hey bro, that's very true, so long as yourself & any immediate members in the family loves the tank... it doesn't matter if it's Iwagumi, Origami or Garang-guni...

PS: But it'll make a difference if entering for Competition lah...

Grow your plant well and you be rewarded the clarity of your tank. Alot of people still struggling growing plant from what i know, needs alot of work and patience.

i love the small leaves. initially i thought its around 1cm.

made a mess by moving the mini riccia. dang!! just soo soo messy!! manage to slot in between the rocks.
