    I seen it in Biotope but the colour is quite dull and totally different from the previous viejita male I had last time. Maybe still conditioning to the new tank.

    Hi Genes, you meant it is not a Viejita. Sorry rather noob on Apisto.
    Mobile, had PM Biotopeshop and ask them. Will update what does the B stands for when they reply.

    Which part of it looks like a briethbinden? Or are you eyeing on someone's pair.

    Just got a confirmation from Thio, the B stands for Bred. Anyway it is a Viejita

    Here's why i thought it may not be a Viejita

    1) Ap. viejita have a very obvious caudal spot at the caudal peduncle which is missing from Qunicy's specimen.
    2) The tail do not exhibit the checkered pattern.
    3) The dorsal fin rays are short and fused together. Only elongated at the
    back.







    Note the extended dorsal fin rays at the front.


    This link shows an adult specimen of the Ap. brietbinden. The photo with the fins folded look like that of Quincy's specimen.

    I will try to take a better pic tomorrow so that more apisto guru can try to provide an id. Been in my tank for 5 days. This piece don't look like viejita to me too.

    Got 2 lousy quality pics of the male apisto. It certainly look more like a Breitbinden than a Viejita
