Are they just a redder morph of cherry shrimp? Wiki lists Cherry shrimp as Neocaridina heteropoda. Valid/Correct?

I think so. They just like the grade S cherry shrimp
I have both cherry and sakura, some of my cherry are as red as my sakura and most of them are female.

Yes. However, it is still unsure what species the Sakura is. Some say just a very red cherry shrimp, some say it is a different species.

One more. Soft due to bad post-processing. Composed like this to catch the feelers in frame and maybe use this as a wallpaper.

Well, actually the shrimp people tell me this is a cherry shrimp.
What do we need to do to properly ID them? An extreme closeup of the head? *hint to Benny*

Uncle Choy, you know any shrimp taxonomist?

~30min old shrimplet. But no colour. Soooo cute!
The adult dropped them while in the bag. I think the journey home must have stressed it too much.

Thanks. It is a canon dSLR. Camera data is in the EXIF. It is actually the lens that is incredible.
