Can Eheim 2028 work with under gravel filter?

can a ehim 2028 work with under garvel filter? that mean the inlet pipe will connect to the under garvel filter. the tank water will draw from under the soil that is above. so from the tank, can only see a pipe going into the soil and with one outlet pipe maybe connect to a rain bar.

Yes, but this is not what ehiem recommend. UGF is effective just by using air pump. Longevity of ehiem becomes a concern if you do that.

Eheim use to sell an undergravel kit to work with their cannister filters. However, I believe that has been discontinued for quite sometime already. If I recall correctly, it works on a reverse principle instead.
