I've fed Spinach, Kang Kong and green peas to my cherries. They will eat most vegetables, don't forget to boil or at least blanch the veggies in boiling water before you feed them to your shrimp.

Didn't seem to make a difference in their coloration, but its fun to watch them eat veggies.

Easiest is to go pick up a twin pack of Mosura CRS Food bundled with Mineral Plus, I just picked up a set recently for around one and a half red notes.

My cherry are mixed with tetras and other fish in my heavily planted tank. So they pretty much eat whatever I feed the tetras...no special menu for shrimp. Strangely their color are as vibrant and red as sakuras.

    So can someone explain that?

I dont see my sakura eating any fish food but most of the time on the moss eating something and they're really red. All faunas need balance diet to get their best outlook.

as look as they are living in a nature and conducive environment they will excel

My cherries loves to eat the TetraMin. And their color are pretty red I also realise that they tend to ignore those more expensive shrimp food.
