Should not be a problem. Basically what you bought is a tri-phosphor PL tube with a color temp of 6000.
Bought 2 pieces of Osram tubes from Kelantan Road this afternoon to rig up another double tubes lighting with oceanfree casing. The first one was done by NA so this time I decided to DIY myself. Anyway I want to know if the PL tubes with the following specs are suitable for planted tank.
OSRAM
36 W/860
2900 Lumen
Lumilux
Daylight

Thanks Allen
Did a search, so now I know 860 stands for 6000K and 865 for 6500K. The woman bluff me says it's 860 = 8600K. []
Actually for the osram and philips series the 8 stands for the fact that the color rendition index is in the 80+ region...

17.50 each. Ex huh cos someone was saying 9.50 each in one of the thread here. []
hmmm... has to go look around for the supplier...
not sure if anyone here knows who is it.

----------------does not have stock on that day so I got it from one shop at Blk 30. As long as it is 6500K and not 4000K you can call them up before you go down to get the $10 per tube.
erm.. thats the problem. I forgot to ask for their number. arrghh!! you have ? []
been using it for a month or so now..and personally i dont think its very good....i got the 865 which is the 6500K....light is quite yellowish.....![]()
