If you have bought hairgrass from farms, you'll noticed that they sell in cakes with the soil still intact. I'm toying the idea of laying the whole slab together with the soil and plant directly onto my substrate since the roots are already established onto the soil.
Has anyone ever tried this way before? Its just a crazy idea I have. Wonder if it would work...![]()

let us know if it work well.

You might get algae bloom. My understanding those soils used in farm are high in amonia level. But you can try it out in small scale and let us know the result![]()
heehee a lazy man's thought. Hasn't anybody tried this method before? Maybe I'll be the 1st to try and update you guys.
Your biggest challenge will be making it sink in your tank.![]()
