    Hi,anyone out there keeps a pleco in a planted tank? is there any species that does not eat up the plants or wood but algae only?bristlenose ok?thanks in advance.

    In general, all BN's and whiptails are good candidate for a planted tank.

    I have a 5 inch L18 in my planted tank with Crypt, Bacopa, Val,Swords and moss. When introduced, it promptly took a mouthful of moss and decided it wasn't tasty. Has been on its best behavior since.
