Thanks for reminding me, was busy lately! The moss on the wood is growing massively covering most of the wood(appear more naturally) and the moss on the rocks is reaching to the front glass, so are the plants. I've remove "Myriophyllum Aquaticum (Parrot Feather)" and replaced with "Myriophyllum Mattogrossense"(Amano use quite often), they look pretty similar. The growth getting much better everyday. Will try to update soon.

So far it has never grow mould or fungus on the stick out wood, i guess the quality of the wood that counts, is a ADA wood, bought 3pc, only use 2pc, the other one sold to one of the bro's here.

Drift wood are softer as compare to ADA wood. ADA wood are those hard wood which has gone through a stage of soft part being washed off leaving only the hard part. The price is also alot of different. Small quality piece of ADA wood may cost you $20-$30 onwards.

is that the hydor koralia at the top right corner?
hows the water flow and strength?
i was considering it to help create a more evenly distributed flow
but im afraid the flowrate will be too strong

thus my questions for his feedback on how the results are like in reality
i dont see a whirlpool in his tank and his plants and fishes seem to be doing quite fine actually

Hi lee1224. Currently i'm using Eheim 2026 filter(950L/hr) and "Hydor Korolia Nano - Wavemaker Pump (900L/hr)", the flow is good, for Eheim 2026 after deducting media and through external CO2, the flowrate would be the most 500-600L/hr, as for the Hydor Nano wavemaker, i like this is because it really circulate well and it'll resuck the CO2 back and mix well with the water again and it circulate well the whole tank, if you have big tank, choose 2 nano instead of one big size wavemaker, place at both ends, and it runs only 5W's, i only switch on when the light is on, other than that only the filter is running 24hr. Can visit me if you want to see the real thing in action.

The fish loves the current, it make them strong and healthy, if they tired they will rest in the plant bed, but i often see them swim against the current, they just loves it. Especially the moss, it clear away the debris and grow healthy moss, you know what i mean, they grow massive and green.

Wow..that is a very very nice tank setup.

May I check something. The wavemaker is connected to a filter outlet pipe or is it a equipment on its own? I can see the reason for using it as some dirt might rest on the leaves of the plants and it makes it look rather unsightly.

How much does it cost? Mine is a 6 footer, think may need to have 2 units (1 on each end of the tank)?

    Pls advise.

Thanks! The wavemaker is a individual thing, you dont have to connect to anything at all. Cost less than one blue note.
