Bro, saw it in polyart, should be same as the normal golden algae eater , probably it would not grow as long as normal golden algae eater.

but the price wise is quite high...but really cute looking...=D
Is it the same species as the chinese algae eater? They are sometimes listed as golden algae eater, the albino specimen at least. I have not seen the dwarfed version yet, but normal CAE gets aggressive when larger. They are lousy as algae eater too.
i have kept them before since they were 1cm in size.maximum growth i kept is about 4-5cm...their body will not grow long, but rather sideways...meaning they get fat!very cute though.i would not say that they are aggressive, just that they are very stingy as they dont like to share the aglae wafers i feed with others...(wafers were meant for the corys).in terms of their ability to eat algae?not as good as ottos....hope it helps...
Getting into Fishy Business
you're right about about them being very selfish! have never seen the dwarf ones before but i had a normal GAE ~3 inches long and YES THEY CHASE EVERY FISH AWAY FROM THE ALGAE WAFERS!
they didn't even allow my angelfish, easily 4-5 inches tall, to grab a bite!
