Recommendation for nano skimmer for nano tank (freshwater)

I need a stand-alone nano surface skimmer for my 2ft shrimp tank.
Is there such a product, not including the filter.
Recommendations anyone?

Hi bro,
I see that your hand on filter has a skimmer. There are several types of stand alone skimmers, however most of them are used for marine tanks, they dont come cheap and are seldom sold here.

If you are finding that your current skimmer is not doing the job, get another similar one and use both together. Good advantage is that using 2 filters gives cleaner water.

The trick is observing the flow of water. If your getting a similar filter, place the 2nd one beside the 1st. Also tilt the skimmer at an angle slightly off parella to the water surface.

hi bro.. i beg to differ. i used similar hang on filters like yours. it will solve your surface problems. the only thing u need to work on is, make sure the flow is strong.

problem i met is, the water do not flow into the skimmer at times. i realized that the dirt buildup clogged the flow, therefore i changed the sponge. it solves everything.

to have good flow, i suggest using fine sponge. very fine ones. crystal clear water.
