Stock from Mizuworld didnt arrive today as they ran out of 1.5ft lights... luckily my tanks arent in as well so I cant wait a little...

Another equipment question for you apistogramma experts... Where do you guys get the mirrors that you use to indluce the flaring? I know any ole mirror will do, but those i've seen are large and clumsy and not particularly adapted for immersing into water...

I remove the mirror from the frame that it comes with. But not all can be removed. Some are very brittle and cracks upon removal. So be cautious. Safety first!

Ah... will go look... how often do you guys make your fish flare with a mirror? Will they get sick of doing so over time?

I only put the mirror in when i want to take pictures of them. Not recommended to leave the mirror in the tank. I feel it will only stress the fish up.

Mirror: Artfriend and the craftshops in bras brasah, local glasscutter. I got mine from the latter. Cut to size and still affordable.

I also have a 29.9 liter tank , lengh=46cm, width=25cm, height=26cm, I was wandering if i added some java fern , and a few small pots , if i could keep a few apistos , a pair or small trio, as i have an spare 29.9 litre tank and a lot of pots and low ceilinged gardening dishes which i prepared for my apistos,
