PL Light set up problems

I have 2 sets of 36W (18") PL lights (MaqnumII) which are around 6 months old. One stopped working, thought the tube was defective so replaced it with a new one. Still no go..opened the plug etc up to see if the wiring was OK...it was (to my untrained eye!)

Can I get it repaired or the ballast checked somewhere? If yes, where?

Or do I have to junk it? (*sigh* Oh lord! not when I just purchased a new tube for it!)

you can try checking with electrical lighting shops nearby your place.
or nature aquarium.
