But then, i still prefer to get mine top-up as that ensures that i know the condition of the tank.

It depends. If my tank is older and there's a shinier tank up for grabs, I don't mind a swop. But if my tank is newer, and the swop tank is old and rusty, I'd be a fool to do a swop. Till today, I've never done a swop.
