know of any glass shops that sell tintless glass or acrylic

Hi folks,

do u know of any glass shops that sell tintless glass?

looking for either float glass (used by Jewel fish tanks, they have higher clarity) or
high-index glass ( the kind that we use to make spectacles)

both have no color tints. u know our common fish tanks? the glass have greenish tints

i'm trying to avoid that as i need to build fish tanks for photography.

or do u know of any shops that sell good quality acrylics that can be cut to make fish tanks?

you may want to ask hoover plastic that does alot of acylic stuff....sorry i dont have any contacts for glass but it may be better to use glass as it is more cost efficient than acylic.

have you checked eg: bioplast's tanks, eheim's tanks?

just how big a tank are you going for? If its not to big, maybe non custom would be the way to go.

I'm making various sizes including 1-feet n' 5-feet.

non-custom? what are the non-custom, off-the-shelf tanks that use tintless glass?

all except the Juwel ones seem to be tinted with greenish tones. Juwel ones come with cabinet, which i prefer not to use.

Ehiem n' bioplast tanks? i don't see any shops here carrying that.

i was also hoping to find ADA tanks but no one seems to sell that.

someone said that JEBO tank uses float glass? not sure if all of them use float glass... can check with H2O I think they carry quite a lot of jebo tanks.

may i suggest then that you try out petmart and system control and engineering? eheim tanks used to be quite prevalent
bioplast tanks can only be found at the latter shop i mentioned
totally untinted glass
