Hehe...
This sounds like a guessing game.
My guess is Downoi (Pogostemon Helferi).

haha no pics? THAT plant.... hairgrass? coconut like plant? Plant that grows like a coconut? Algae ball?
Continuous effort- neither strength nor intelligence - is the key to unlocking our potential
HI ! it's not Pogostemon Helferi. Serangoon North shops used to sell them. Not from rainbow or petmart but some old LFS.![]()
Hygrophila Balsamica? Looks like coconut tree to me..
Cheers!
I think you are right!... toxic plant when above water.. Thanks
Hygrophila balsamica is a marsh plant native to India and Sri Lanka. It is not widely available to hobbyists as the emersed form is poisonous to livestock in an aquarium and only the submersed form may be used safely in an aquarium.

But the coconut plant really make nice coast landscape. Then add some old sea mud stone.![]()
Hmmm.... I have them in my tank, and so far the plants made no attempts to grow above water and toxify me yet.
I do however seek to clarify that this plant can definitely grow beyond the 5-8cm stated and become quite a big coconut tree.. literally.
Beautiful plant i must say, the leaves look like fine feathers to me as well.
Cheers!
