Anyone knows the name of that plant? About 5~8cm tall only.

    Hehe...
This sounds like a guessing game.
My guess is Downoi (Pogostemon Helferi).

HI ! it's not Pogostemon Helferi. Serangoon North shops used to sell them. Not from rainbow or petmart but some old LFS.

I think you are right!... toxic plant when above water.. Thanks
Hygrophila balsamica is a marsh plant native to India and Sri Lanka. It is not widely available to hobbyists as the emersed form is poisonous to livestock in an aquarium and only the submersed form may be used safely in an aquarium.

Hmmm.... I have them in my tank, and so far the plants made no attempts to grow above water and toxify me yet.

I do however seek to clarify that this plant can definitely grow beyond the 5-8cm stated and become quite a big coconut tree.. literally.

Beautiful plant i must say, the leaves look like fine feathers to me as well.

    Cheers!
